Who is Julian Lage?

Is the American guitarist Julian Lage the heir to the throne of jazz royals like John Scofield and Pat Metheny?
The New York Times described him as “one of jazz’s breezier virtuosos, possessed of an unflappable technical facility and a seemingly boundless curiosity.”
Julian Lage’s lively album Speak To Me was released on Blue Note in 2023.
The album is intimate in tone yet impressive in intention, representing one of the most ambitious music projects Lage has documented to date. His own compositions build on traditional American music, ranging from gospel and country blues to Californian singer-songwriter numbers and punchy jazz. Expectations are high

Time, Place and Purpose of this meeting?

Let's meet at 19:00 at The Sister Brussels Café, Rue Chair et Pain 3, which is less than 10 min walk from BOZAR Hall, and we can chat and have some drinks/food before the show starts.

We can just tell the waiter that we are coming to a meet up pre-concert (Julian Lage). The cafe isn't big so we should be able to spot each other easily

It's also an opportunity to meet people with the same music taste (jazz) and stay in touch for eventually attending future concerts together, instead of going solo.
