TIMEWALKERS 2: THE WILD CELTIC WOODS

Details
During the centuries before our current era these woods were home to Celtic tribes. It was in fact the Ancient Greeks who called them Keltoi– it meant ‘Barbarians’. To them these were wild people, living far beyond (Greek) civilisation, in mysterious, brooding woods full of sorcery. On this forest walk we will explore how this savage reputation of the Celts came about and why it has stayed with us to this very day.
