Announcing TGIF Friday S25E18 - New Hoods.
Celebrating Ride Captain's move-into new hoods, by launching this week's ride from the Bois de la Cambre, we meet in front of the gazebo next to the Guinguette Woodpecker in Bois de la Cambre before pointing our bikes towards Uccle and beyond.
A 53km route awaits us in the Pajottenland, with 380m elevation gain, so there are some spikes in the elevation but we apply the usual rules regarding waiting at the top of the climbs.
As you may have seen there's been discussions about the importance of keeping to pace to ensure everyone enjoys the ride. So participants are reminded of our Brussels Unchained ride rules (these are found on our website) and are invited to not ride past the Ride Captains unless instructed to do so. You're welcome to ride alongside us and don't chase if we suddenly sprint - it's to protect the upcoming intersection and allow everyone to safely ride through without having to stop.
