Networking for Web developers presented by Wim Godden
We're all web developers, but how does the Internet really work ? What happens when a client requests a web page, how is data returned, ... ?
But most importantly, what are the things that can go wrong on this vast network of networks ?
This 1,5h tutorial will walk through the basics of networking, explain how all the various parts connect, then dive into the different ways to protect your web app architecture from failure.
If keywords such as ARP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, source ports, sockets, DNS, VRRP and BGP sound unfamiliar, this will be an absolute eye-opener making you realize how much a typical app relies on all of these (and many more) working flawlessly !
💸 Event sponsoring
A special gratitude goes out to [Cu.be](https://cu.be/?rel=meetup-202205) for hosting the event and providing catering.
Interested in becoming a sponsor at our next event? Send us an email to contact@brusselsphp.be and we’ll make it happen!
