We're a critique group in Chicago that meets once a week to tear each other's writing apart...just kidding.
Brutally Honest is a group for all writers looking for a fresh perspective on their work. If you're worried that your latest short story isn't as funny as your dad thinks it is, or that your memoir might be an incoherent trainwreck, then come on down! Writing is a very personal business and there is never any judgement, only honest opinions from people who want you to succeed!
We meet once a week to discuss pieces that members have submitted prior to the meeting. Writers will have a chance to talk about specific aspects of their work, ask questions, and listen to critiques from their fellow writers. Respect and kindness are paramount, so all writers will feel comfortable taking part!
