THE HISTORY OF SOUND

In 1917, a gifted singer (Paul Mescal) leaves his Kentucky home to study at the Boston Music Conservatory, where he finds a kindred spirit in fellow student David (Josh O’Connor). Together, they set off on a journey through rural Maine to document its traditional folk songs, forming a tender connection that will bind them for decades to come.
