What we’re about

You don't have to be big to be a big success in business.  "Small is beautiful!"

This group focuses on the needs of new, growing, and wannabe entrepreneurs including gig workers, solopreneurs, independent contractors, freelancers and small business owners. We provide practical real world strategies, tips, tools and techniques to succeed in good times and not so good. The emphasis is on how to maximize your time and success when you have limited staff and other resources.

Solopreneurs Growth Support Meetup is a monthly program for connections, contacts, and knowledge from the Business Success Center (BSC) and its BSC Practical MBA™ free programs as well as mentors from around the country and sometimes abroad.

Each month, we host a program to encourage attendees to get to know each other and to meet with larger businesses, government agencies, and others to learn about opportunities of all kinds. Our goal is to make each business more successful and profitable.

We do not hosting in person meetings. Instead we host our monthly BSC Lean Success Forum™ led by Dave Nave, Dave Nave & Associates, online on the 1st Thursday of the first two months of the quarter (January, February, April, May, July, August, October, and November) where attendees suggest and choose topics and contribute to the recommendations. This is your opportunity to get answers and help other business owners based on your experience and expertise.

The 1st Thursday of the third month of the quarter (March, June, September, and December — our annual Blow Your Own Horn PR event where you are the speaker) is our quarterly BSC Mentoring Success Forum™ with a special mentor expert. The focus is on management, legal, compliance, marketing, funding, sales, or tax issues. BSC Mentor Forums™ are led by Jan Triplett, Business Success Center, with a guest mentor and contributions to the discussions by attendees.

All Forums meet at 11-Noon Central, in conjunction with our other meetups, Success Lab Meetup and Success Cohort Meetup. They are recorded and a link is provided to meetup members. Both BSC Forums attract mentors and attendees from around the country, sometimes around the world, and of course, in the Austin area as well as throughout Texas.

We are starting a podcast in January 2024, "Across the Country: Getting Through the Business Stages" with a team of experts and an opportunity for you to participate as part of the live audience. If you're interested in attending, please email me at triplett@ownersview.com for time, date, and link.

We believe in networking now and later. For those who register to attend, we also provide a list of attendees — even if you can't attend. We hope you will feel free to follow up with them.

You might also enjoy. BOSS-Talks & Tools, a quarterly live interview with an inspiring entrepreneur and a discussion of a BSC favorite business tool. BOSS-Talks & Tools and these Forum meetups are parts of the BSC Practical MBA program. (More info at www.ownersview.com).

Solopreneurs Growth Support group is highly interactive so bring your questions, requests, and your best advice to give to other business owners attending the Forums and other programs. Be prepared to share a recent success and your expertise at a BSC Forum™.

If you are interested in leading one of the online Forums as a guest mentor or being the interviewee for BOSS-Talks, please contact me directly @ triplett@bscusa.com and put Forum Mentor (or BOSS-Talks Guest) in the subject line. I will contact you to discuss this further with you. This is your opportunity to blow your own horn.

Here's to increasing your success!
