HBase is the backbone of an Adobe product, that is responsible for monitoring and implementing rules for concurrent usage of accounts, for premium video applications on mobiles, desktops, or connected devices. You’ll learn about a highly optimized Hbase backend that it’s serving up to 1 mil rpm, with active/active replication.

Depending on your queries and use case using just Solr , just Cassandra or a combination of Solr & Cassandra might just do the trick. Cassandra is not a search engine and Solr is not a storage solution, but Cassandra does have a feature that helps with search use cases (SASI), so ...which are the use cases when just Cassandra, just Solr, Cassandra + Solr might make sense.
