It’s October, which means it’s time for our annual **Big Data Week** meetup, co-organized with our friends from **Cloud Native Bucharest** meetup! This year, we’re diving deep into **Observability**: going beyond your good ol’ Grafana and Prometheus for a true observability extravaganza. Get ready to explore the latest tools, techniques, and real-world stories that are shaping the future of data monitoring and system reliability.

We have an exciting lineup of speakers who will bring unique perspectives and hands-on experience to the world of observability:

* **[Jumanazar Gurbanov](https://bucharest.bigdataweek.com/speaker/jumanazar-gurbanov-2/)**, Principal Data Scientist at Adore Me, will discuss practical approaches to AI-Native Data Observability, showing how tools like elementary / dbt can improve the way we monitor and understand our data.
* **[Radu Gheorghe](https://bucharest.bigdataweek.com/speaker/radu-gheorghe-2/)**, Software Engineer at Vespa.ai, will offer a search engineer’s perspective, exploring the challenges of evaluating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and relevance testing—posing the all-important question: is my magic box doing the right thing or not?
* Rounding out the evening, **[Claudiu Sonel](https://bucharest.bigdataweek.com/speaker/claudiu-sonel/)**, Senior DevOps Consultant at Endava, will share his recent adventures in exploring observability on hardware devices, bringing us stories and lessons learned from the front lines of infrastructure and operations.
