The Different Ways of Observability
Details
It’s October, which means it’s time for our annual Big Data Week meetup, co-organized with our friends from Cloud Native Bucharest meetup! This year, we’re diving deep into Observability: going beyond your good ol’ Grafana and Prometheus for a true observability extravaganza. Get ready to explore the latest tools, techniques, and real-world stories that are shaping the future of data monitoring and system reliability.
**Please note you don’t need a BDW conference ticket to attend this event, however, you need to RSVP here to secure your spot.**
We have an exciting lineup of speakers who will bring unique perspectives and hands-on experience to the world of observability:
- Jumanazar Gurbanov, Principal Data Scientist at Adore Me, will discuss practical approaches to AI-Native Data Observability, showing how tools like elementary / dbt can improve the way we monitor and understand our data.
- Radu Gheorghe, Software Engineer at Vespa.ai, will offer a search engineer’s perspective, exploring the challenges of evaluating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and relevance testing—posing the all-important question: is my magic box doing the right thing or not?
- Rounding out the evening, Claudiu Sonel, Senior DevOps Consultant at Endava, will share his recent adventures in exploring observability on hardware devices, bringing us stories and lessons learned from the front lines of infrastructure and operations.
Agenda
We'll gather at 6:30, start at 7, wrap up at 8:30, then mingle and chit-chat for a bit.
A big thank you to Adore Me for providing the venue!
This is an in-person event; presentations will be conducted in Romanian. Please RSVP to secure your spot.
