AI bioinformatic workshop (LLM agents and MCP)

We will teach you about LLM agents, how they work, how you can make them use call tools, interact with bioinformatic MCP servers, and communicate with each other.
We will use our [https://github.com/longevity-genie/just-agents ](https://github.com/longevity-genie/just-agents)library and [https://github.com/longevity-genie/biothings-mcp ](https://github.com/longevity-genie/biothings-mcp)MCP server as an example, but the principles there are universal.


• Skills: beginner level or higher in programming or biology
• Setup: just a browser and a Google account.
• Optional:
• We will use free open-source models if you register with https://console.groq.com/playground or https://aistudio.google.com/ which can save time.
• In the end, it will show how AI models interact with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, so having Cursor, Claude Desktop or any other MCP client preinstalled ( [https://github.com/punkpeye/awesome-mcp-clients ](https://github.com/punkpeye/awesome-mcp-clients)) can be helpful to try it yourself
