Hiking (easy-medium): Autumn in Baiului Mountains

Please note that the meeting time is for North Rail Station to be in time for the 6:40am train to Azuga (IR 11531 - Astra Trans Carpatic). We start the hike at 8:30am unless this train is late, in which case we'll wait for it.

Starting point is at Azuga train station at 8:30am

After the hike we will stop for dinner/drinks at Casa Ancutei where we'll experience some Romanian traditional cuisine. You are free to join or take the next train back to Bucharest.

From here you can opt to go for dinner with us to the restaurant or take a train back to Bucharest.

Predeal (return)
There are plenty of trains to return from Bucuresti to Bucuresti Nord. Please do not buy a return ticket yet, as it would not be valid for another train in case we miss it.

By car
Please plan to arrive in time by 8:15am as we start the hike at exactly 8:30am. There is a free parking lot in front of the station.

• Hiking backpack 20-40L

• Headlamp (lanternă frontală) with spare batteries

• Warm layers (avoid cotton): (1) quick dry t-shirt/thermal base layer (merinos or synthetic), (2) polar hoodie, (3) down/synthetic jacket
