Talk: Data has a better idea - the In-Memory Data Grid

In this talk, we will see what an In-Memory Data Grid is and how we can leverage it in building modern distributed systems.
Since the In-Memory Data Grid is a theoretical concept, we will dive into a real implementation of the concept by looking at Hazelcast IMDG. The main features of an IMDG that will be covered are cluster discovery mechanism, partitioning, and replication of data. Also, some specific features of Hazelcast IMDG, that we'll discuss are user-code deployment and hazelcast-spring module.
At the end of the talk, we will see also a practical example, covering Hazelcast Java APIs and Hazelcast Management Center.
About the Speaker:
Bogdan is a passionate software engineer for about 5 years. He enjoys coding and solving real issues, thinking that by software he can make the world a better place. He is focused on JVM languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Clojure, but considers that the key to success doesn't come with a language. His real passion is modern distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. As a personal belief, he considers that we as humans are living in a "distributed and reactive, full of actors system". I've known Bogdan for quite a while, you don't want to miss his talk.
