🕓 Duration: Around 3h hours (ending ~2:00–2:30 PM)
🌍Open to everyone: Whether you’re a local, expat, or visiting Bucharest, join us to explore hidden gems, enjoy fall colors, and meet like-minded people.

Let’s enjoy a relaxing Sunday walk through some of Bucharest’s most interesting and authentic areas — from calm parks to lively boulevards. 🍂

From the meeting point we will pass trough Parcul Circului, take a short stroll to admire the lake (no more lotuses this time of year, but beautiful fall colors!), then continue through Parcul Tei, the Petricani Natural Reservation, Manastirea Plumbuita, and finally Piața Obor, where we’ll stop for 20–30 minutes to explore the market and maybe grab a snack before heading to Obor Metro Station or returning toward Circului.
We’ll have plenty of breaks (10–20 minutes each) in every main location — time to rest, take photos, chat, or just enjoy the autumn atmosphere.

### 💬 What to Expect

This is a casual urban hike, about 8–9 km, with short breaks for rest, snacks, and conversations.
I’ll also bring a few conversation starter questions for those who enjoy deeper talks.
You can expect:

  • A mix of busy boulevards and peaceful green spots
  • Authentic, local Bucharest vibes (some areas are less polished — that’s part of the charm!)
  • Plenty of chances to meet like-minded people and enjoy the city in good company 🌞

### 🌿 Route Highlights

🦩 Parcul Circului – Famous for its lotus-covered lake (in summer) and colorful autumn trees surrounding the old circus building.
🌉 Parcul Lacul Tei – A spacious park offering a open view of the lake and a Ferris wheel.
🌾 Rezervația Naturală Petricani – A protected natural area, home to diverse wildlife, including 12 mammal species, 90 bird species, and various reptiles and amphibians.
🏛️ Mănăstirea Plumbuita – One of Bucharest’s oldest monasteries, dating back to 16th century — we can stop for a short visit or just admire from outside.
🍎 Piața Obor – The iconic traditional market, full of color, local snacks, and energy — perfect for our last break before heading back.

### 🧺 What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes for long distances
  • Water and snacks (you can also buy along the way, but not everywhere)
  • A small blanket if you’d like to sit down when benches are full
  • Optional: cash for Obor market if you’d like to shop

### ⚠️ Disclaimer

This is not a professional guided tour — just me, a local who loves exploring Bucharest and connecting with people.
Everyone is responsible for their own safety and belongings.
Be mindful when crossing streets and aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded places.
The route is mostly flat, with small hills in Parcul Tei and Petricani.
Since this is my first event, attendance may be small — but I’ll still host it even if only 1–2 people join. 😊

If the Meetup limit of 10 RSVPs is reached for this event, you can still join us via this WhatsApp group:
