🌍 Who This Walk Is For

This walk is open to tourists, expats, and locals who are active, enjoy exploring the city on foot, meeting new people, and enjoying a nice sunset 🌅

Note: The walk is conducted in English to ensure inclusive participation, as the group includes international members.

🗓 Schedule

We will leave at 18:30, but I strongly recommend arriving earlier.
I will be there starting at 18:15 to greet participants, make introductions, and start on time.
The walk will last approximately 2h -2.5h hours - slow paced with breaks.

🚶 The Walk
The total distance is about 5.5 km.

We’ll start in front of Optica Orange - near Piata Unirii 1 Metro Station

We'll pass trough:

• Tribunalului Park
• Izvor Park
• Opera Park
• Splaiul Independentei

• We will have 10-15 min breaks in the larger parks and shorter ones on the bridges to admire the view and take photos.

We end the walk at Petrache Poenaru Metro Station.
Near the metro there is a business park where we can rest, purchase a cold drink/ ice-cream and finish admiring the sunset over Ciurel Bridge.

💬 What to Expect

• The route is over 80% in shade with sun basking trough the trees or buildings occasionally
• Quiet streets and parks in the first part of the walk
• Lively boulevard near the river ( with car traffic) in the second part
• Frequent street crossing to switch sides next to the river
• A friendly group atmosphere with time to talk and connect

• Comfortable walking shoes 👟

• Light/ comfortable clothing

Note: sometimes in the evening it can get cloudy and we might not capture the best sunset, but we can still enjoy the walk and each other's company.
