Skyline Drive and Tail of the Dragon Ride (and more!)

Are Skyline Drive and Tail of the Dragon on your bucket list? Then join us on this beautiful early fall ride to check them both off.

We will meet at Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, VA on Saturday, Sept 27th. The resort is just a few minutes ride from one of the entrances to Skyline Drive. We will have out and back trips on Saturday and Sunday.

Massanutten has lots to do at the resort and we are not far from local restaurants and activities in town also.

On Monday we will head to Fontana Village Resort in NC. This about 11 miles away from The Tail of the Dragon and is a full service resort with a bar and restaurant and lots of activities as well.

We will have several days of out-and-back riding and will take in the Tail of the Dragon (both directions) as well as the beautiful sweeping turns on the Cherohala Skyway.

At this resort we will be staying in two-person cabins with outdoor firepits and plenty of opportunities to talk about the day's riding adventures.

This cost of this trip includes lodging at Massanutten and the Fontana Village Resorts. We will arrive on Friday / Saturday in Massanutten for weekend riding through Sunday. We will depart on Monday and head toward Fontana Village Resort for weekday riding in NC. We will return to Massanutten on Friday for our last overnight before heading back up to PA to complete the trip on Saturday.

Special note: I will plan to travel early to VA to get us checked in at the resort on Friday night. I will be trailering my bike there. We will do out and back rides from two locations: Massanutten Resort in VA and Fontana Village Resort in NC. I will also be trailering to NC.
You are welcome to ride to each location, naturally, or trailer should you choose that option.

I will be departing from Washington Crossing Park in Bucks County PA and am happy to travel with anyone who wants to go with me early on Friday. Otherwise we will all meet up on Saturday morning at Massanutten resort. I will coordinate further with those who RSVP.
