[Circuit Hike] Buckeye Trail Hike

We return to continue our journey southward through the Bowerston Section. We will hike this side of the state southbound July, August and September before continuing eastward across the top of Ohio for the remainder of the year.

Meet along the side of the Crab Orchard road at 40.187441, -81.306355 we will leave promptly at 8:30 am and carpool back to a roadside pull off along US 22 at Piedmont Lake 40.192124, -81.221983 . There is a rest area nearby.

Saturday's hike is 10.7 miles beginning near point 24 and ending at point 29 on the Farout BT app.

Expect rugged off road trail conditions around the lake for about 5 miles with the remainder on back roads.

Hike is 13.2 miles on gravel back roads past a Skull Fork Covered Bridge and into Belle Valley via Red Hill Farms from point 29 Bowerston to Point 4 of Belle Valley.

We return to continue our journey southward through the Belle Valley Section. We will hike this side of the state southbound August and September before continuing eastward across the top of Ohio for the remainder of the year.

Meet at a roadside pull off beside of the Gurnsey County Fairgrounds overlooking I-70. 40.036083, -81.433545
Old Washington, Ohio

We will leave promptly at 8:30 to carpool back to a fisherman's pull off along the side of road R-5540.130526, -81.462115 R-55, Kimbolton, OH 43749

The hike is 11.2 miles with a short off road section at the beginning with the remainder on back roads. Point 4 to point 10 on the Farout App.

We will meet at the Seneca Lake boat ramp lot just off the trail at 39.930461, -81.434478 Richland Township, Ohio. We leave promptly at 8:30 to carpool to a roadside pull off beside of the Gurnsey County Fairgrounds overlooking I-70. 40.036083, -81.433545 Old Washington, Ohio.

Hike is about 11.5 miles, all on back roads from point 10 to point 16.
