Avoid the Steaming Divots! (5 mile walk and Polo Match)

Did someone say "Marco"? If your response is "Polo", then pack a wide brimmed hat, blanket and a picnic lunch and join me on a walk to Tinicum Park where we can watch and photograph the Covered Bridge Classic Polo Match.

We'll meet at 12:30pm in the main parking area of the Giving Pond. From there, we'll walk 2.5 miles on the Delaware Canal Towpath to Tinicum Park where we can set up our blankets, have our picnic lunch and enjoy the Polo Match. There may be a tent at the park that will have light snacks and drinks for sale.

At halftime, we'll all do our best Julia Roberts impersonation and walk onto the field to help Stomp the Divots. ("Only one word of advice: Avoid the steaming divots!")

After halftime, we'll head back along the towpath to the Giving Pond.

Members of all skill levels, whether using an iPhone or DSLR, will have many opportunities for photos. A zoom lens and fast shutter speed is recommended to capture photos of the match.

Steady rain cancels event. Update will be posted in Meetup by 7 am the day of the event.
