New Hope / Lambertville Ice Cream Walk

NOTE: Use Google Maps and navigate to "Canal Park Solebury Township Parks and Recreation". The entrance to the park is south of Towpath Way and north of RT 202 near where power lines cross Rt 32. (meet at farthest end of lot from Rt 32 near the foot bridge that crosses the canal.)

Join me on a walk along the Towpath of the Delaware Canal State Park through New Hope, Lambertville and the D&R Canal State Park. Along the way, we'll stop at one of the top ice cream "destinations" in NJ where you can try out some of their many creative flavors. September's Special Flavors include; Fried Cookies & Cream, Cracker Jack Swirl and Rocky Road. Skip lunch and go straight for dessert or, if you must have lunch, we'll make a quick stop in New Hope for a small bite!

This will be a 5-6 mile moderately paced, flat, social walk mostly on compacted dirt canal paths and on sidewalks in New Hope and Lambertville.

We'll meet at 11:30 in the Canal Park parking lot located off Rt 32 just north of New Hope. (meet at farthest end of lot from Rt 32 near the foot bridge that crosses the canal.)

Rest Rooms available at the halfway point.

Please bring cash/plastic if you plan on purchasing food/drink.
