Fort Hancock at Sandy Hook Photo Walk
Details
Fort Hancock at Sandy Hook is a unit of the Gateway National Recreation Area. On this 5-6 mile photo walk, we'll explore the old abandoned military buildings, artillery batteries, the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, beaches and we'll even capture scenic views of the New York City skyline. Towards the end of the walk, we should be able to spot seals during low tide.
Those who wish to stay for lunch can join us at the Mule Barn Tavern located within Fort Hancock.
Entry to the Park and parking are free during the off-season. Restrooms usually available in Lot B on the right after you enter the park. Give yourself extra time for a pitstop.
