7ish Mile Loop - Bulls Island to Stockton and Lumberville

Join me on a 7.3 mile moderately paced social walk along the Towpath of the Delaware Canal State Park from Bulls Island to Stockton and Lumberville. Towards the end of the walk, we can make a stop at the Lumberville General Store where we can enjoy coffee/snacks/brunch at the indoor or outdoor tables.

Hopefully, along the way, we'll encounter bald eagles, woodpeckers, herons and wood ducks that inhabit the area.

The hike will be about 7.3 miles of walking on the packed dirt canal tow path and across 2 picturesque bridges.
It's Winter - Some icy patches possible - Feel free to pack your favorite traction devices and or poles just in case. I use Kahtoola MICROspikes.

We will begin introductions at 9:30am near the Visitor Center at the Bulls Island Parking Area of the D&R Canal State Park in NJ. Rest Rooms available at Parking Area and at Lumberville General Store.

Please bring cash/plastic if you plan on purchasing food/drink in Lumberville.

Members of all skill levels, whether using an iPhone or DSLR, will have many opportunities for photos while we are walking on this hike.
