Mountain Lakes Hike (Woods, Easy Stream Crossings, Lakes and a Cave)
Details
This will be a 5ish mile moderately paced, mostly flat hike on some of the wooded nature trails in the Mountain Lakes Open Space Preserve located in Princeton, NJ.
Our path will lead us thru wooded areas around 2 small lakes, past Devils Cave and along many streams (probably dry). This is a relatively easy hike with several very, very short stream crossings across flat rocks. Bring hiking poles if it will make you feel more comfortable.
We will start introductions at 9:30am in the parking lot of the Billie Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve located just off Mountain Avenue in Princeton, NJ. Restrooms or porta-potty usually available in lot.
Remember to bring a snack and water and dress for the weather in layers. Hiking shoes strongly recommended.
