Isaiah Zagar, the artist responsible for Philly's Magic Gardens, has created more than 200 public murals. These mosaic murals are constructed from tiles and sculptures made by other artists, as well as found objects and Zagar's own handmade tiles.

On this walk, we'll take a scenic route from 30th Street Station over to South Philly where we'll explore many of the neighborhood's mosaic installations. This will be a 5-6 mile round trip moderately paced, mostly flat walk on paved city streets. We will begin introductions near the Angel Statue in the waiting area of 30th Street Station at 10:00am. And, of course, there will be a coffee stop involved!

I'll be taking the 8:32am train from Woodbourne on the West Trenton Line arriving at 30th Street Station at 9:36.

Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and snacks.

Members of all skill levels, whether using an iPhone or DSLR, will have many opportunities for photos on this walk.

Steady rain cancels event. Update will be posted in Meetup by 6am the day of the event.

If you sign up for this event and your plans change, Please remember to update your RSVP in Meetup.
