More Fall Fun at Richmond Farm & Brewery
Details
We'll continue our celebration of fall by heading up to Bangor to visit the Richmond Farm & Brewery.
Located on the old Diehly Farm in the village of Richmond (Washington Township, Northampton County), Richmond Farm & Brewery sits in a restored 1920s barn. Check out the photos on their website, they did an amazing job turning an abandoned, dilapidated old barn into their brewery and restaurant space. The 1-barrel brewing system is located in the barn's cellar, with the tap room and full-service restaurant on the main level. It's a working farm today with corn fields and farm animals.
Not only is this the Lehigh Valley's first barn brewery but it's one of the few breweries in the area with a female brewmaster: Maria Sebastionelli. Eric and Milissa Smith, who both grew up in the area, own the brewery, which opened in 2021.
Meet for drinks and lunch at 1 p.m. This is a full-service restaurant so I'll need to make a reservation. Enjoy the peak fall foliage on your way there and a rustic, country atmosphere when you arrive.
Though this brewery is not in this year's Lehigh Valley Brewers Guild passport, perhaps we can visit Allegheny Creek Brewing, about 4 miles up the road in Mt. Bethel, afterwards for a post-lunch brew and a passport stamp.
See you there!
