What we’re about
This is a group to connect LGBTQ+ individuals in Bucks in the form of relaxed get-togethers and events. For your membership request to be accepted, please contact the organisers confirming that you accept the group's declaration of intent (below).
Frustrated by the lack of a general social group for LGBTQ+ individuals in the Buckinghamshire area, we have decided to start our own. The aim is to organise a variety of outings, ranging from simple get-togethers for coffee/drinks to trips out to the theatre or a club. There is no requirement to attend every single event, members are free to come along to whatever appeals to them, and all suggestions for future meetups are welcomed.
Our declaration of intent:
The purpose of this group is to reinforce the recognition of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ+). The “+” designation is representative of a position statement used for inclusivity that encompasses other sexual and gender minorities not captured within the acronym LGBTQ. We, as a group, are committed to the elimination of any disparities and discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or expression within our group. To be accepted into the group, please reply to this message (using the contact link on the "members" page) indicating that you intend to respect and uphold these principles.
