This has impacted a wide range of software, from SQL engines, ETL and data quality tools to open-source data visualization solutions. This session will offer an overview of the most interesting recent data-related investments and the trends behind them.

Nam Son Nguyen – Junior Data Engineer, Hiflylabs (English presentation):

The “modern data stack” comprises mostly open-source software components that let you efficiently ingest, manipulate and visualize data. After a short introduction, the presentation will focus on the “upper end” of the stack, including DBT, a data manipulation tool, and Superset, a relative newcomer for data exploration and visualization. For demonstrative purposes, we will analyze current DBT- and data-engineering-related job offerings, so you can expect special insights, such as a comparison of Germany/Europe vs. the USA.

Fanni Rákosi – Software Developer Team Lead, Starschema: Building a data science visualization deployment platform from scratch

Datagraph - A powerful tool to deploy and maintain Python Visualizations. The presentation will share the story of the idea and it's impact on the customer's business.
