# Clojure Performance

Clojure is a dynamic programming language that runs on the Java
Virtual Machine. It is not just an extremely comfortable tool
but it is also capable of writing performant code.

In this talk we will review common performance considerations
for writing Clojure code. In the second part of the session we
will write faster implementations for some core Clojure functions.
