Why should I use ZFS with MySQL?

ZFS and MySQL can work very well together, let's see the benefits.
Yves is a Principal Consultant at Percona, specializing in distributed technologies such as MySQL Cluster, Pacemaker and XtraDB cluster. He was previously a senior consultant for MySQL and Sun Microsystems. He holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics.

MongoDB explained to those who only know MySQL

MongoDB and MySQL are different database management systems, based around different paradigms but they have many similarities. This brief presentation is for those who know MySQL and want to understand some basics of MongoDB. The presentation is focused on similarities trying to explain differences.
Prior to joining Percona as a Senior Consultant, Corrado spent more than 20 years in developing web sites and designing and administering MySQL. He is a MySQL enthusiast since version 3.23 and his skills are focused on performances and architectural design. He's also a trainer and a MongoDB consultant.

Francisco has been working in MySQL since 2006, he has worked for several companies which includes Health Care industry to Gaming. Over the last 6 years he has been working as a Remote DBA and Database Consultant which help him to acquire a lot of technical and multi-cultural skills. He lives in La Plata, Argentina and during his free time he likes to play football, spent time with family and friends and cook.

Marco Tusa had his own international practice for the past twenty eight years. His experience and expertise are in a wide variety of information technology and information management fields, cover research, development, analysis, quality control, project management and team management. Marco is currently working at Percona as High Availability Practice Manager, previously working at Percona as manager of the Consulting Rapid Response Team on October 2013. He has being working as employee for the SUN Microsystems as MySQL Professional Service manager for South Europe., and previously in MySQL AB.

Alexander joined Percona in 2013. Alexander worked with MySQL since 2000 as DBA and Application Developer. Before joining Percona he was doing MySQL consulting as a principal consultant for over 7 years (started with MySQL AB in 2006, then Sun Microsystems and then Oracle). He helped many customers design large, scalable and highly available MySQL systems and optimize MySQL performance. Alexander also helped customers design Big Data stores with Apache Hadoop and related technologies.
