An Introduction to Focusing: A Taste of Deep Listening

Details

#### A Taste of Focusing: Step into a day of gentle inner discovery

Focusing, developed by philosopher and psychologist Eugene Gendlin, is more than a technique, it is a way of listening deeply to yourself, to the quiet threads of meaning that often go unnoticed. In this introductory workshop, you’ll be guided to touch that subtle felt sense within, where clarity and fresh possibilities can arise naturally. It’s a rare chance to pause, breathe, and meet yourself with kindness, in the company of others on a similar path.
Whether you’re seeking more presence in your life, greater ease in decision-making, or a deeper connection to your own inner wisdom, this “taste of deep listening” offers a doorway to something both grounding and life-changing.

#### As we gather for this Focusing day, you'll have the chance to:

  • Discover the living principles of Focusing, a gentle yet powerful way of tuning into the wisdom carried in your body.
  • Listen with your whole being, sensing not only thoughts and feelings but the subtle stirrings of life within and around you.
  • Be guided into a nourishing Focusing experience, where inner knowing begins to take shape in felt, tangible ways.
  • Share space with others in an atmosphere of respect, warmth, and authentic presence.
  • Leave with a felt sense of how Focusing can ground and support you, enriching your personal life, professional practice, and your connection to the wider living world.

#### Who is this for?

This workshop is open to anyone curious about:
Inner connection and emotional clarity

  • Embodied presence
  • Focusing as a personal or professional tool
  • Creating space for something new to emerge

No previous experience needed, just a willingness to listen inwardly. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those curious to reconnect with the foundations of Focusing. Workshop is limited to 10 participants to ensure intimate atmosphere and 1-to-1 practice opportunity for everyone.
