January Erlang/Elixir meetup

Hey Erlangers and Elixir Alchemists! 🧙‍♂️

We’re excited to announce our next meetup in 2025!
Here’s the agenda 📅:

1. A historical walkthrough of the Erlang Graphics System (GS) that was used in Erlang-based desktop applications (simulators, manual testing tools etc.) decades ago before OTP release 18. Some of the core tools have been replaced with wx-based widgets, but you can still wake up the old graphics library with some Tcl/Tk hacking. Moreover, you can boost GS by integrating it into Elixir, which will be presented in the form of an interactive multiplayer logic game, showing the main concepts from the good old days in practice.
2. 💬 Open Discussion on Erlang/Elixir Topics:
   Stick around for a community-led conversation on all things Elixir!

Speaker’s Bio:

• Viktor Gergely learned and fell in love with Erlang and Elixir during his years at Ericsson. He decided to grow his experience in end-to-end design of various systems in different industries. He has been a Tech Lead at Erlang Solutions since 2019.
