**Talk 1: Transforming search queries to insights (Norbert Liki)**

During his presentation, Norbert will demonstrate a use case on leveraging language models to support sourcing and SEO optimization decisions for e-commerce companies.

Technically affine people who are interested in seeing the journey of solving a use case with ML from ideation till deployment.

What will you learn?
Tips and tricks using language models on search keywords. Real-life challenges and solutions including transformers, clustering, streamlit, GCP.

**Talk 2: Efficient computation on GPUs using Python and Google Cloud (Tamás Móricz)**

Real-world machine learning projects use staggering amounts of data, the processing of which raises both spatial and temporal concerns. In this talk, participants will learn about the different theoretical approaches to solve the handling of large amounts of data and efficient computational methods, including GPU usage and Google Cloud tools to not simply enhance, but make possible certain workflows.

Who is it for?
Data scientists or Python programmers who have to work with either large datasets or perform expensive computations; those interested in the preceding.

What will you learn?
Theoretical solutions, including task graphs, lazy evaluation, and disk spillover. Practical examples, including libraries for efficient and distributed computations and GPU-based workflows. Industry use cases, including GCP and Kubeflow based pipelines.

📣 Meet the speakers

Norbert Liki - Head of Data Science

As the leader of the Data Science team at Aliz, he is helping clients around the globe from Germany to Singapore in their AI journey in Google Cloud. Besides leading consultancy projects, he is responsible for the ML Ops and ML product initiatives within the company.

Tamás Móricz - Data Scientist

Tamás has already joined BUTE’s Artificial Intelligence research groups during his Bachelor’s degree and founded and led a student’s research group which included projects such as classifying real-time EEG signals to drive simple rovers. He has been working as a data scientist for more than two years now and in that time has attained both theoretical and practical knowledge of industry best practices, machine learning operations, and cloud architecture. He also has regular appearances on podcasts and conferences talking about artificial intelligence.
