What we’re about
The Budapest Drawing Party is a regular event that takes place in Peter's studio in central Pest. The group draws from life (usually) and portrait (occasionally) over three hours or more. There is no instruction, but participants encourage each other.
There is a single pose. This is a mixed group of Hungarian and English speaking people. Both languages are used.
During the evening, participants are invited to drink a glass or so of wine. There are some nibbles too, and in the breaks plenty of conversation and socialising. A contribution (1200 HUF) to the expenses of the event is requested.
The group exhibits regularly.
This event has been running for several years. The opportunity to draw is now available to a wider audience of any level of experience. Please do not be discouraged if you do not see many people joining on Meetup. The events are well-attended. Regulars find out about the group through email, Facebook and the website.
