Our speakers
György Móra, is a software engineer by trade but got infected with Machine Learning during his years of academic research on Biomedical Natural Language Processing. Fascinated by the fast pace and the immediate user feedback he worked at various startups building data and ML related applications at scale including Prezi (image and text recommendation) and Ekata (ML model for Identity Check/Fraud prevention acquired by Mastercard). Currently Gyuri helps Superlinked to build a vector-focused data/ML platform which enables everyone to integrate advanced AI and DS capabilities into their systems.
Janis Lapins, In 2008, Janis earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, followed by a PhD in Reactor Physics and Thermal Fluid Dynamics in 2015 from the same university.
Since 2017, he has been employed at Spicetech GmhH as a Data Scientist and Python Developer, working on Spicetech products like VALICY (virtual validation system for AI and complex software applications) and PREDECY (time-series forecasting), as well as contributing to AI-related projects at Spicetech.
Mohamed Abdelaal is a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader at Software AG located in Darmstadt, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Oldenburg, Germany, and has extensive experience in designing energy-efficient IoT solutions. Mohamed's current research activities focus on democratizing AI systems, enhancing data quality, context modeling, and explainable AI. He has published over 30 conference papers, journal articles and holds several patents. He has recently received the Elevating Excellence Award in innovation for his work at Software AG.
