Session Outline
- Introduction (15 minutes)
If you are not knowledgeable about Immanuel Kant, no problem, it is a huge topic, no previous knowledge or research is requiered.
I will give a bit of historical context, and make a short introduction of the categorical imperative and then we will research more ourselves. - Group Research Time (30 minutes)
After a quick round of introductions, we will divide into groups depending on the amount of assistants. Using the internet and AI we will find out:
A. How many differences can we find between Kantian Deontology and Utilitarianism?
B. Let's find out some thought experiments and see what we think about the outcomes. - Group Discussion (1 hour)
After our research, everyone will have a turn to explain the differences that they found.
Then we will explain the thought experiments and decide which philosophy is better in which case.
What to Bring: A notebook is recommended.
RSVP: Please confirm your attendance on Meetup so we can secure enough space.
