While Romanticism is primarily recognized as an artistic and literary movement of the XVIII and XIX centuries, its philosophical principles greatly influenced our every day life. And on many ways!
A previous read or research on any romantic work is encouraged for this session. Below some recommendations:
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe – Faust (1808-1832)
- Mary Shelley – Frankenstein (1818)
- Victor Hugo – Les Misérables (1862)
- Lord Byron (or José Zorrilla) – Don Juan (1819)
- Alexandre Dumas - The Three Musketeers (1844)
- Or any other romantic work of your preference
