Welcome to the Silent Book Club Budapest!
This group is for anyone interested in reading a good (e-)book with a cup of coffee/tea and among like-minded people.
Here we don't have a designated book to complete for a deadline, only a pleasant environment for reading your current favourite book, and sharing your impressions of it if you wish.
The meetings are in person, mostly in a Café, with a simple (usually two-hour) agenda:
- half an hour for introduction of you and your chosen book
- one hour for quiet reading
- half an hour for sharing what you have read, impressions, etc.
Whether you are a trained reader, who seeks for community, an eager novice, who wants to make reading a habit, or just someone, who wants to slow down and enjoy the present for a bit, you are at the right place!

✨ Voluntary Contributions Booking our own space costs ~15,000 HUF. We use a voluntary contribution model (suggested 500-1000 HUF per person, but completely optional). There'll be a Revolut QR code and cash box at the event. All funds go to the venue, with any extra covering Meetup costs.

-------------Tarts egy kis szünetet a hétköznapi rohanásban és gyere el csendes könyvklubunkba a FSZEK Körúti Könyvtárába. Hozd magaddal az aktuális könyvedet, merülj el benne egy órácskát, majd oszd meg velünk, amit olvastál.

Az eseményt az alagsori rendezvényteremben tartjuk, ahova a könyvtárba belépve jobbra a társalgótér túlsó végén át tudsz lejutni.💡 Részvételi díj:
Az eseményen való részvételhez nem szükséges könyvtári regisztráció vagy beiratkozás.🥤 Étel-ital:
Kérünk, zárható üvegben hozz magaddal innivalót, ha az esemény alatt megszomjaznál. Másból inni, valamint a teremben enni nem lehet, erre a könyvtár társalgóterét használhatod a földszinten.🕑 A menetrend:
17:00–17:05 – Érkezés
17:05-17:20 – Bemutakozó kör: mit fogsz olvasni?
17:20–18:05 – Csendes olvasás
18:05–18:50 – Választható beszélgetés a könyvekről (magyarul)Extra:
Az esemény után igény szerint teázás-sörözés-borozás a Pótkulcsban, hogy ne csak könyvekről beszélgessünk! Ha csak erre jönnél, írj üzenetet, hogy ne kerüljük el egymást.Fontos: Ez egy teljesen magyar nyelvű esemény. A bemutatkozó kör az elején és a kötetlen beszélgetés a végén is magyarul zajlik.
Az olvasás csendje persze mindenkié, így nyugodtan hozhatsz bármilyen nyelvű könyvet.A részvétel ingyenes, de a helyek korlátozottak. A helyedet a hivatalos Meetup eseményen való regisztrációval tudod biztosítani:
