General exchange of programming techniques

This group explores techniques related to the Microsoft Office model that supports office automation (for example add-ins to simplify Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Visio). We aim to help members find solutions to repetitive tasks, get a basic understanding of how to apply programming to challenges that the typical company comes across in daily life.

Each meetup usually looks at a particular topic. We also can review code, coach and discuss how to approach challenges. We also can offer resources upon which companies can draw.

• Interconnectivity to: databases (Azure, MS, MySql), webservices (Docusign, UPS, Bpay), reservation systems, lookups (MNB rates).

• Building excel models of businesses (e.g. forecasting, reporting)

• Opportunities to automate business processes

• Assistance to business owners/managers who have tasks where Office Automation can help
