Please join us at The Dharma Bum Temple (http://www.thedharmabums.org)every Thursday at 5pm as we prepare food and the feed the hungry in downtown San Diego. We will meet at Temple at 5pm, leave around 6pm and be done around 7pm. Volunteers do not have to bring anything in order to participate; just offer a helping hand.

The Food Distribution Program is designed around helping distribute surplus food to those who do not have enough. We accept donations of vegetarian food that would otherwise go to waste and put it in the hands of people who can use it.

Many people think that they can only give to others if they are wealthy. This is not true. Practicing generosity means to give our time, energy and resources to relieve others from their suffering no matter if we are wealthy or not. Generosity is the first of the Six Paramitas and its essence is boundless compassion.
