🌻Event: Meditation in the Park
🌻Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025
🌻Time: 10:30 am -12:00 pm
🌻Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VGM1ac2vU9MsqBv88?g_st=ic
🌻Theme: Forest Therapy
Rest and rejuvenate through sensory awareness and mindfulness while immersing yourself and deepening your relationship with nature. Forest Bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, which gives you the chance to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with yourself and the natural world. Experience the benefits of slow-paced wandering in nature with a trained forest therapy guide Sock Gee!
🌻What to wear and bring
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes. This is a rain or shine event unless severe weather in the forecast. If it rains, please wear waterproof layers or bring an umbrella. It is highly recommended that you bring a sit pad and a backpack for your possessions to keep your hands free. Tea service will be offered at the end of the program. You are welcome to bring your own mug.
🌻Instructor:
Sock Gee Gan is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Association on Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. A resident of Mississauga who loves to wander and explore in nature, she is eager to share the benefits of Forest Bathing with the community.
