Overview: Tea Meditation
The class is invited to sit together at the table, where we will be served by a Tea Chan Practitioner. Through the gentle practice of tea meditation and mindful engagement with the tea’s aroma, taste, and warmth, as well as the presence of the practitioner, participants will cultivate deep awareness of the present moment — sensing the natural flow of life unfolding with each breath and every movement.
Tea meditation is not just about drinking tea; it is a living expression of the Dharma and a practice of mindful observation. Each sip invites us to reflect on impermanence and to cultivate our heart-mind (心) as we slow down and embody the Dharma in everyday life.
What to wear and bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sit without distraction.
Shoes stay on in Shrine
Families are warmly invited to participate in all activities, including meditation, tea meditation, the Canada Day Blessing Ceremony, and the vegetarian buffet lunch featuring a child-friendly menu.
Auspicious blessings,
Keep Going, the Future is Bright
