Special retreat guided by Gen Kelsang Jangdom, visting teacher from Stockholm, Sweden
24 – 26 October | In English | Book ticket here
We all long for lasting happiness and growth of our inner good qualities. The way to achieve this is by making steady progress on the spiritual path – strengthening our wisdom, compassion, and inner peace. Yet in daily life it’s easy to feel uncertain about how to stay connected to our good intentions and bring all our practices together.
On this special weekend retreat, Gen Kelsang Jangdom will give clear and practical guidance on how to use the practice of “Heart Jewel” to integrate all our meditations and daily activities into one clear and joyful path of spiritual growth.
What is the Heart Jewel?
At the heart of Kadampa Buddhism is the daily practice of “Heart Jewel”. This profound practice helps us receive the blessings and guidance of Buddha Je Tsongkhapa, the embodiment of wisdom and compassion, while relying upon the Dharma Protector, Buddha Dorje Shugden, to remove obstacles and provide the conditions we need for inner and outer success.
On this special weekend retreat, Gen Kelsang Jangdom will guide us into the meaning and practice of “Heart Jewel”, exploring the profound benefits both in meditation and in daily life.
Open to everyone
Through short teachings, guided meditations, and time for reflection, we’ll discover how to progress quickly and effectively on the spiritual path by practising Heart Jewel. This retreat is perfect for anyone who has been coming to the Centre for a little while and is interested in creating a regular, authentic Buddhist practice with guaranteed good results.

20th jubilee at Kadampa Meditation Centre Copenhagen
With blessing empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara31 October -3. November | In English | Book ticket here
Welcome
This autumn we celebrate the 20-year jubilee of Kadampa Meditation Centre Copenhagen. The very first teaching in Copenhagen took place on October 31, 2005, in Nørrebro Medborgerhus. Since then, thousands of people have received the inspiration of Kadam Dharma, finding wisdom, peace, and hope through Buddha’s teachings.
A celebration of compassion
At a time when the world is marked by suffering and uncertainty, the practice of compassion offers a profound solution. Compassion purifies our mind, protects us from negativity, and gives us the strength to remain positive in the face of difficulties.
This jubilee weekend is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community, receive profound teachings, and strengthen our inspiration to follow the path of compassion. Whether you are new to Buddhism or a long-term practitioner, everyone is welcome to join.
A tantric empowerment
On Saturday, Kadam Tim will grant the blessing empowerment of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion.
An empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a direct connection with the Buddha of Compassion. By receiving Avalokiteshvara’s blessings, we awaken our own compassionate potential, gaining inspiration and strength to bring peace and happiness to both ourselves and others.
Open to everyone
This jubilee weekend is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community, receive profound teachings, and strengthen our inspiration to follow the path of compassion. Whether you are new to Buddhism or a long-term practitioner, everyone is welcome to join.
