Buddhists and Friends Talk about Death-suspended for the res

My husband had bypass surgery recently and so I am suspending this Death Cafe for the rest of the year and will start again in 2027.

The teleplay by Nichols and Emma Thompson is based on the 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same title by Margaret Edson (Kindergarten Teacher!)  GO to chapter 13- Popsicles. You will see the most common and incredible conversation on making decisions at the end of life.

The finale of the TV series Pitt was a beautiful story about a young woman who came into the emergency room to die, and after an extensive plan of her death event, everything changed. It is the most touching example of how a person can develop a plan for death, but sometimes it takes courage to abandon that plan when the situation changes.

The fiction author Jodi Picoult has an amazing number of death scenarios in several of the books I've read. If you have an interest in planning for organ donation, there is a beautiful, painful description of organ transplant decisions in her book Lone Wolf.
