https://refringe.org/about/ - Soundpainting Monday (tomorrow) April 13 6-8pm Benten Music Center led by Chris Brandjes
Soundpainting is similar to what we do at the Creative Music Group, with conducting!
Soundpainting is the universal multidisciplinary live composing sign language for musicians, actors, dancers, and visual Artists. Presently the language comprises close to 2,000 gestures that are signed by the Soundpainter (composer) to indicate the type of material desired of the performers. The creation of the composition is realized, by the Soundpainter, through the parameters of each set of signed gestures. The Soundpainting language was created by Walter Thompson in Woodstock, New York in 1974.
Happy Music Making!
Leanne
Buffalo Creative Music Group is dedicated to exploring improvised music as a form of self expression and community building.
