Up a creek...
Details
No-one posted for Monday yet that I can see, so I'll throw this up. Ellicott Creek is better early in the season before it gets algae.
One of my favorite paddles, Ellicott creek from Eastern Park to UB. Eastern Park has a roller launch that's seen better days. It might be possible to do a wet launch from the shore but I've never tried. If anyone is interested and wants to move the launch to Ellicott Creek park, just let me know.
As always, everyone please plan to wear your US Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Device and have a whistle at the ready to participate in any of our paddle events. If your PFD is too uncomfortable to wear, then you have the wrong size and I suggest looking into getting a new one before attending. If you have lights for your kayak, please bring them as a precaution. All around 360 white light is preferred. USCG also approves of oar powered vessels may elect to operate with an electric flashlight or lantern as well.
Bad weather on Mondays will push our meetup to Tuesday as a makeup day. Notifications will be sent.
As always, by participating in this or any other of our Buffalo Paddle People meetup paddles is always your own choice and at your own risk. By participating in one of our paddle meetup's, you, your family member's and your guests' (all participants) fully understand and accept all risks and agree to forever release, hold harmless and indemnify BPP and activity organizers, as well as their families, from any injury, damages or death resulting from participation in an activity. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY the BPP Meetup group and its organizers from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries, personal or property, and while participating in or travelling to or from the activity.
In short, by participating in a BPP activity you accept and assume all risks and full responsibility for losses, costs and damages for yourself, your children and your guests.
See you on the water!
