What we’re about
A WordPress Meetup for Everyone
The Buffalo WordPress Meetup is place for Buffalo and WNY Wordpress users, developers, and designers to get in touch and network with one another. Whether you're completely new with WordPress, or have been using it since it first moved from B2 we're here to create a fun and educational meetup.

See all- Informal Coffee - 9am in LockportGypsy Kitchen, Lockport, NY
We're heading up to Lockport for coffee at Gypsy Kitchen (https://www.gypsykitchenny.com/) on Thursday, May 8 at 9:00 am and we can chat all things WordPress ...or not, as we see fit. This is an informal gathering to get to know one another and talk shop.
We had three folks at WP Buffalo’s Meetup April 24 at Anastasia’s Artisan Bread in North Tonawanda, including Sandi, Josh, and Freed. Among other things we discussed:
- Using Click Up and Outlook
- Accessibility in sites, and how there’s always more you can do
- How hard it can be to launch a site, paying attention to all aspects
- Sandi showed us a section in her site that uses Elementor hot spots that pop up to an accordion on the right side of the section
- Elementor mega menu vs regular menu
- Using multiple fonts in the page and in logos
- What do you put in your privacy and terms pages?
- Marshall McLuhan’s book, The Medium is the Message
- Sonya Renee Taylor’s book, The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love
- Semicolon tattoos
I schedule these events at different venues around WNY so everyone can join if they want (and don't want to drive half an hour first thing on a Thursday). If there's another neighborhood or coffee house you'd like me to plan for, put it in the chat. I'm always up for finding new local coffee places.
