Hello! It’s time for our next bugs (and friends) hangout. Selfishly I’m planning this for end-of-August as it’s around my birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to nerd out over tiny creatures with fellow bug appreciators.

Steigerwald is a fabulous spot for all the things. There is a heron rookery, swallows/swifts, birds of prey, songbirds galore, frogs, deer, raccoons, diverse plants/ecosystems, and of course insects. The first part of the path is a bit more exposed and can be hot on sunny days. It then loops into a more wooded area that provides some shade.

Bring yourselves, your binoculars, your magnifiers, water, and let’s find some bugs together!

And if you can’t make this one, don’t worry. We’ll schedule another one before long. 🪲
