About us
If you run a business, you have heard for two years that AI changes everything. Almost nobody has told you what to actually do on Monday.
That is what this group is for.
You bring one bottleneck and we work out how to kill it.
Not a talk. A clinic. Everyone in the room names the one job they keep doing by hand. Every one of them goes up on a board and gets sorted properly: the approach, the tool, roughly what it costs, what breaks, and who should build it.
You leave knowing whether your thing is an evening or a real project, and what the first step is either way.
Most of it is possible. That is the part nobody tells owners, and it is why this group exists.
Who this is for
Owners and operators in the west GTA: Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Milton, Etobicoke, Burlington. Trades and field service, logistics, clinics, retail, professional services, small manufacturers, agencies. If you sign the payroll or you run the operation, you are in the right room.
Who this is not for
Machine learning engineers, people shopping for a job in AI, and vendors hoping to work the room. There are excellent technical AI meetups downtown. This is not one of them.
The kind of thing that goes on the board
Re-typing the same order into two systems. Quotes that take forty minutes each. A schedule that only works because it lives in your head. Chasing the same three people for the same paperwork every Friday. A report that eats a day a month. Follow up that never happens because nobody owns it.
Things that came out of work like this: a route planner for a cleaning company, a 3D product configurator for a jeweler, a scheduling and player management tool for a coaching business, a sales agent on a webshop, CNC programming that replaced a legacy software licence. None of those owners write code.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No, and you will not be asked to do anything technical in the room. Answers come back in business terms: how long, roughly how much, who should do it, and what will go wrong.
Will I get a straight answer, or a sales pitch?
A straight answer, including when the answer is "do not bother, that one is not worth automating" or "buy the $40 a month tool and move on". If the honest answer is that you can do it yourself in an evening, that is what you will hear.
What to bring
Yourself and one bottleneck. No laptop. The more specific the better: "marketing" is not a bottleneck, "I re-enter every order into QuickBooks by hand" is.
The honest part
Free to attend, every month. No sales in the room.
Organized by Marko Starcevic. I build software for owner-led businesses and teach the owners to keep building it themselves after I leave.
