If you have ever wanted to see the rings of Saturn or the moons of Jupiter through an instrument you built with your own hands, this is the place for you. We are a community of amateur astronomers and makers who meet regularly to work on telescope projects, share technical advice, and help each other navigate the nuances of mirror grinding, tube assembly, and mount construction. Whether you are starting from scratch with a pile of glass or you are looking for help fine-tuning a scope you already have in progress, you will find a supportive space here to get your questions answered.
We keep these sessions informal and focused on hands-on progress. There is no formal curriculum, just a group of people at various stages of their builds hanging out, sharing tools, and troubleshooting the inevitable snags that come with high-precision DIY projects.
