AGENDA
Updates to UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol)
- This protocol is getting a lot of attention from some massive companies (amazon, shopify, visa, mastercard, google, the iconic etc)
- today every online shopping carts is linked to a domain, companies like shop.app and amazon do a big job representing many companies, but UCP is a agreement that lets you build a cart and checkout outside of a website.
- As you can imagine this is a fundamental pillar for a Shopping Agent transacting on your behalf
Updates to A2P (Agent Payments Protocol)
- This is used for agent to agent payments and involves discovery, trust, liability and a developing a viable ecosystem
- the road to human not present transactions
Using MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- many many sites today are implementing MCP, this is your Agents version of the your website. Provides a the essentials for your bot to communicate with a website in thier preferred method.
- What can you do today, and common usecases
- Introducing WebMCP, Google has officially announced WebMCP as a way for agents to efficiently interact with the DOM (whilst MCP is for API)
