GENERAL INFORMATION:
- CHILDREN: There are a few great toy stores in New Milford, so we welcome children for this portion of the event (2:00-3:30 P.M.).
- ANIMALS: No pets are allowed at this event.
- ACCESSIBILITY & PARKING:
- HICKORY STICK: handicap spots available in front of the store; 1-2 step-ups to get inside, but no stairs. Can park in front or at the bank next door and walk over. Usually fairly quiet.
- WHITE HORSE: handicap spots available in front of the restaurant. Can park in front of the restaurant along Route 202, although sometimes limited. Bathrooms are gendered but accessible. It can be noisy depending on how busy the restaurant is, but we will try to sit in a more quiet section. We suggest earplugs just in case.
- HONEYBEE: handicap spots available along Main Street in New Milford. Parking along Main Street or nearby Bank Street (one way going down). Some step ups and downs inside the bookstore. Can be somewhat crowded, but lots of outdoor spaces nearby to relax and regroup, if needed. Bathrooms available at several businesses in town, and the library across the street.
- HOUSE OF BOOKS: limited street parking in front of the store. Park behind, which leads to several smaller lots. Some step ups and downs to get inside. Usually fairly quiet.
- FOOD: There are coffee shops and cafes near all of the stops if you need a snack or drink. We will be stopping for lunch at The White Horse, which has an enormous menu with tons of options.
- SUBSTANCES: As always, this is a substance-free event to support our friends in recovery. Please do not buy alcoholic beverages of any kind or consume cannabis in any form. Thanks for understanding!
